Slow Life
Nowadays we live a fast life – all the time on the go, driving fast cars, eating fast food, scrolling news feeds quite fast, sometimes without even understanding of what we actually LIKE. We should change our lifestyle because our fast life doesn’t make us happier anymore.
Here comes the concept of slow life. Carl Honoré, whom the Huffington Post calls the godfather of the Slow movement, says, “the central tenet of the slow philosophy is taking the time to do things properly, and thereby enjoy them more.”
We should stop, take a deep breath and look around. We live in a beautiful world which needs our love and attention more and more these days. Everything became so accessible for a human being. It is so easy to get many things in the local market and we do not really think what the crucial impact our consumersim has on the world.
From time to time we read articles in the Internet with unnerving forecast that by year 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish and that millions of people will suffer from lack of fresh water. At the same time, taking into consideration the fact, that human being is the most creative creature on the Earth, we believe, that we are capable to change the long-established pattern.
In more recent times the concepts of environmentally-friendly lifestyle, slow living, ethical living and sustainability are more frequent in the media. There are many eco and ethical blogs, brands, shops and magazines which can help us to live a better life. Life, where we enjoy every moment we live, where we enjoy our relationships with people around us, where we are closely connected to nature, we listen to it and do not do damage to it.
We have to give a serious thought on all aspects of our lives, because green living does not mean just eating eco food. This concept is much larger and includes several different ideas. We should be aware of what we buy, what we wear every day, what we eat, which things surround us, how much waste we produce in our everyday life and how we can help our planet.
We are in a fair way to create lasting change. In Pure Domus we produce green products for your home and office to help you to create an eco-friendly environment. Our products are made by Estonian designers basically from local materials, therefore they are stylish, unique and sustainable. And what makes our products even more interesting – they are affordable for you. It means, that we can start making our lives better together right now.
